静坐的时候要微微张开嘴巴,好像要发出低沉、放松的声音。
When you meditate, keep your mouth slightly open, as if about to say a deep, relaxing sound.
静坐前或者工作之余、生活中,我们可以常常做些深呼吸,因为我们平常妄念、杂念、烦恼时常会来侵扰我们,
Before meditation or during breaks at work or in daily life, we can often take deep breaths, because we are often disturbed by delusions, distractions, and afflictions.
我们在生活当中常常做深呼吸,用鼻子吸气,用嘴张开呼气,发出低沉放松的、小的声音,就是世间人说的叹气,叹气其实也是有利健康的。
In our daily life, we can often take deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth, with a deep, relaxing, and soft sound. This is what people call sighing. Sighing is actually good for health.
我以前听说有一个老太太,问她健康长寿的方法是什么?她说:“我最喜欢做的一件事情就是唉声叹气”。唉声叹气就把你烦恼给释放了,其实这是一种释放烦恼、妄想的方法,自我保护,我们不自然的。
I once heard of an old lady who was asked about her secret to living a healthy and long life. She said, "My favorite thing is sighing." Sighing is actually a way to release our afflictions and delusions, to protect ourselves. It may not come naturally to us though.
现在我们主动地去做深呼吸,类似叹气的方法,是很有益我们的健康的。
Now we can actively take deep breaths, similar to sighing, which can greatly benefit our health.
因为我们的烦恼来了,心就会上火紧张,主动地一边观想一边放下你正在执著的事情,放下你现在的妄想,或者放下你现在心中的烦恼,一边这样想着,一边用呼吸配合来放下,
Because when afflictions arise, our minds become agitated and anxious. Actively visualize and let go of your current attachments, delusions, or afflictions. While visualizing like this, let go with the help of breathing.
这是一种很好的方法,张口嘴呼吸,可以驱散散乱的业风。我们心里起烦恼,是有业风的嘛,可以驱散散乱的业风,妄念多的时候你就做几次这样的深呼吸放松。
This is a good method. Breathing through the mouth can dispel the scattered karmic winds that cause afflictions. When you have lots of wandering thoughts, you can do this deep breathing a few times to relax.
如果禅坐之前也可以这样,我们要开始打坐了,做几分钟这样的深呼吸放松,放下一切生活当中的烦恼和执著,开始进入禅修状态,这样就是一个很好的前行。
We can also do this before meditation. Breathe deeply for a few minutes to relax, let go of all the afflictions and attachments in our daily life, and then start meditation. This is a good warm-up.
