第八辑 把心带回家 Volume 8: Bringing the Mind Home


上师教我们的方法是:打比方你要上班了,早上起来,应该先提起正念来,然后才开始刷牙洗脸;
The method that our teacher teaches us is as follows: Suppose you are going to work, when you wake up in the morning, you should first bring up mindfulness, and then brush your teeth and wash your face.

出门之前准备开车,你也应该停一两分钟,用一两分钟的时间来断一下你的妄念,提起正念来,然后再开始开车,或者骑车,或者开始走路;
Before you drive out, take a minute or two to cut off your wandering thoughts, bring up mindfulness, and then start to drive, ride, or walk.

坐到办公桌前的时候,你也应该先用三到五分钟的时间断一下妄念,提起正念来,观一下无我或者发一下菩提心,或者是做做深呼吸,放下你的一些执著,然后才开始工作。
Similarly, when you sit down at your office desk, take three to five minutes to cut off your wandering thoughts, cultivate mindfulness, meditate on non-self, generate bodhicitta, or take deep breaths to let go of some attachments, and then begin your work.

就是说,你做每件事情之前,哪怕就是半分钟,或者是三分钟,都是可以的。
That is, before doing anything, you can do this warm-up, even if it's just half a minute or three minutes.

这是我们上师教的一种经验,这样的话就慢慢地把你的禅修的觉受带到生活中去,将你的正念提起来,然后才开始做事。
This is an empirical method taught by our teacher. By doing so, you can gradually bring the realization gained through meditation into your daily life, that is, bring up your mindfulness before engaging in any activities.

不管做什么事情,只要你稍微有一个休息的时间,这个时间是你可以休息的时间,你可以不想事情、不做事情,你的思想可以放松的时候,就开始禅修。
No matter what you are working on, as long as you are allowed to take a brief break — a time when you can relax without thinking or doing anything — that's when you can start meditating.

在任何时候都这样,打比方你做完一件事情,就可以禅修一会儿,一两分钟,养成这种习惯,慢慢地,你的禅修和工作就会慢慢地结合起来了。
This applies to any situation. For example, after completing a task, you can meditate for a short while, perhaps for one or two minutes. With this habit, your meditation and work will be gradually integrated.

要像一位头颅破裂的人,随时随地小心翼翼,唯恐别人碰到他一般。”
Be like a man who's fractured his skull, always careful in case someone will touch him."

就是警觉的意思,保持这种警惕。在生活当中修行的人就是这样,因为他很警觉、很小心,尽量地不要让自己的正念打失掉。
That is, always be alert and vigilant. This is how a spiritual practitioner practices in daily life. They are very alert and careful, so as not to lose their mindfulness.

有些人正念打失了很久都还没有觉察,说明修行还没开始;
Some people have lost mindfulness for a long while, yet still haven't noticed. This indicates that they haven't even started their spiritual journey.

或者是禅修以后你的心完全掉入在世间八法里面,跟以前一样。这样的话,你修行十几年、很多年都不会有太大的进步,因为一到生活当中世间的习气全部都出来了说话傲慢的习气,或者是刻薄的习气,或者是嫉妒的习气,都跳出来了。
Or, after meditation, your mind may be still immersed in the eight worldly concerns, just as before. In such cases, even if you practice for ten or more years, you will not make significant progress, because once you return to daily life, all your worldly habits emerge, such as arrogant speech, harshness, or jealousy.

在禅修之后不要回到我们易于将事物固化的习气。
Then, after meditation, it's important not to give in to the tendency we have to solidify the way we perceive things.

就是刚才说的习气,因为你会固化——固定的观念、固定的习气。因为你看到一个事物,可能自然地就有反应、情绪,这个情绪就是固化的情绪。
This refers to the 'habit' we just mentioned. Because you tend to solidify things — fixed beliefs, fixed habits. When you see something, you may naturally have a reaction, an emotion, and this emotion is exactly a solidified emotion.

有些人喜欢忧愁,有些人喜欢嫉妒,有些人又贪心很重、看什么都起贪念,这就是固化的习气。
Some people tend to be gloomy, some tend to be jealous, some are greedy, craving anything they come across. These are solidified habits.

当你重新进入日常生活时,要让禅修所带给你的智慧、洞察力、慈悲、幽默、柔软、旷达和自在充满你每天的生活经验。
When you do re-enter everyday life, let the wisdom, insight, compassion, humor, fluidity, spaciousness, and detachment that meditation brought you pervade your day-to-day experience.

这说得很清楚,禅修会带给我们智慧、洞察力、慈悲、幽默、柔软、旷达和自在。
This clearly states that meditation will bring about wisdom, insight, compassion, humor, fluidity, spaciousness, and detachment.

这是先决条件;如果你在禅修当中没有产生这种经验,那你在日常生活当中更不可能。所以我们需要学会。
This is a prerequisite; if you haven't experienced these during meditation, then it's even more impossible for you to experience them in your daily life. So, we need to learn how to do so.

你现在打坐的时候是一个什么样的觉受、验相?如果你打坐当中没有无我的智慧,没有慈悲的心态,也没有幽默的心态……对什么事物都不太痴迷、执著,就会有幽默的心态;还有柔软、旷达,
What kind of experiences and signs do you have during meditation? When you mediate, if you lack the wisdom of non-self, compassion, humor... If you are not very obsessed with or attached to anything, you will have a humorous state of mind. Also, fluidity and spaciousness.

这些心态或者体验在禅修中都可以产生,那么在生活当中慢慢地自然会有。
If these states of mind or experiences arise during your meditation, then gradually, you will naturally experience them in daily life.
